A GUIDE TO ACRYLIC PAINTING BRUSHES

This article is on how you can pick the right brush for your artwork. Choosing a wrong brush for your art work can mess up your entire work. Want to get some painting brush but not able to choose which one should be the right one? Here I am going to take you through a small guide so that you can cut through all the confusion that come across when you look up for brushes on a store or online shopping.

Acrylic brushes are naturally thin and they tent to dry quickly. A good acrylic brush should have a thin hair with a good handle with a stable grip.
Acrylic paints are water-based, which means they can be thinned with just water (no toxic spirits are required). In addition, wet paint can be cleaned off of brushes using just soap and water. It should be also able to hold their hair after using it several times.

Brush Types

Here are some brushes I recommend .

1.Rigger brushes

A "rigger brush" is also called a "liner" or "script" brush. Its tuft is longer than usual so it can hold more paint and water at once. It is used commonly for hassle- free long lines may they be straight, jagged, or curved.

2.Round brushes

round paintbrush is the most traditional brush shape, and what most people imagine when they think "art paintbrush." A decent round brush will come to a lovely sharp point, enabling you to paint fine lines and detail with it, especially if it's a brush made with top-quality Kolinsky sable hair.
Ideal for painting sash windows or cutting in or round curved objects with any type of paint, its long handle means easier control during use.

3. Flat brushes

Flat brushes are great for wide strokes where you want a lot of paint coverage. If you are working on a surface where a wash brush might be too large, the flat brush gives you excellent coverage while also providing you a little more control over the wash brush.

4.Filbert Brushes

Filbert brushes are combination of both round and flat. They have the rectangular shape of a flat brush, but also come to a point like a round brush. Because of their unique shape, filberts can create a wide variety of marks.
